NBC Bay Area | Bay Area EV chargers: Santa Clara celebrates reaching 100, Oakland to get 400 more

Flash, a tech company who just got $5.8 million from the California Energy Commission, aims to put more than 400 electric chargers in downtown Oakland. The company plans to begin construction over the next six months.

“You know this lower level 2 charging makes a lot of sense for someone that’s going to an event and will be there for a few hours or someone that lives in the area and they’re using this garage where they live or a workplace,” said Matt McCaffree, Vice President and General Manager at Flash.
