Venue Challenges: The Renaissance Tower is an 886ft, 56-story skyscraper located at 1201 Elm Street in downtown Dallas, TX. It is the second-tallest building in Dallas, the fifth tallest in Texas, and the 24th tallest in the United States. The modernist design of the building and high status of its tenants, which include the Mexican Consulate, require constantly up-to-date technology that exceeds the expectations of its users. The Renaissance Tower found that renewing their existing parking system to sta was becoming more costly than getting entirely new equipment. So, they sought out an innovative, cost-efficient, reliable, and secure new parking solution that would suit the building’s various marquee tenants and that could be seamlessly incorporated into the building’s existing structures.

Venue Solution:

FlashParking Solutions — FlashPARCS
Equipment Installed — 6 Entry/Exit Smart Stations, 2 Pay-on-Foot Smart Stations with accompanying Cash Machine with Bill Note Recycler

PARCS
At the cutting edge of parking technology and software integration, FlashParking offered the Renaissance Tower an efficient new way to manage its parking systems. The twelve-story parking garage has three entry and three exit lanes to facilitate the flow of traffic. Although the primary users of Renaissance Tower’s parking will be monthly parkers, the building needed to develop seamless entry options for visitors. To that end, FlashParking installed six Entry/Exit Smart Stations in the garage, all of which can accept credit cards and process electronic or printed validations. The garage also boasts two Pay-on-foot Smart Stations that accept cash and are equipped with a bill note recycler (BNR), thus making it easy for visitors to pay before exiting the garage.

Monthly Parkers
For monthly parkers, FlashParking proposed an Automatic Vehicle Identification solution, specifically using Transcore technology. Using a UHF tag in each tenant’s car, the gates are automatically signaled to open, creating a seamless entrance and exit experience for long-term parkers.

Maintenance
For expedited maintenance, the operator was outfitted with FlashParking’s unique FlashCare Maintenance Kit, which contains all the major replacement components of each station. All components on the Smart Stations are part of a plug-and-play (USB-based system) and can be swapped out in the existing machine as new technology requires. This DIY maintenance system reduces repair costs by making maintenance simple and quick for the parking operator to do. There is no longer a need to call in for external maintenance while suffering days of downtime on a parking system. FlashParking’s software systems are constantly evolving to make the most of new technologies and are bringing those new efficiencies directly to customers.

PCI Compliance
The Renaissance Tower’s parking operator is now taking advantage of FlashParking’s worry-free compliance model which outsources 98% of the PCI duties to us, the only Level 1 Service provider in the industry.
