increase in captured revenue after FlashParking installation

By Implementing a Mobility Hub Operating System, High-volume Event Parking Garage Expands Parking and Mobility Service Offering

Venue: The Music Garage – 1615 18th Street, Denver, CO 80202
Parking Operator: Parkwell
Operating Parking System Configuration: Parking Access & Revenue Control, eParking Reservations, Touchless Access via BLE Bluetooth Technology

The Problem

As a freestanding garage in the heart of downtown Denver, the garage needed to improve its overall performance and customer experience, putting unreliable legacy PARCS equipment and poor service into the rearview.

Conveniently close to Union Station and just a block from Coors Stadium, the owner wanted to rebrand the garage as well as create a safe place where anyone would feel comfortable parking. After hiring Parkwell, one of Denver’s leading parking and mobility companies, together they rebranded the asset to the Music Garage and enlisted the right technology partner for the job, FLASH who was able to offer a future-ready solution that laid the foundation for the seamless parking experience.

The Solutions

The Music Garage needed to differentiate itself from other garages in its immediate vicinity, making the experience the most attractive to potential customers.

The unique focus on ambiance paired with security is what sets the Music Garage apart.

To improve the overall atmosphere, the garage was overhauled with new paint and a state-of-the-art speaker system streaming music 24/7 throughout the garage. To increase security and the feeling of safety throughout the garage, the owners installed 40+ high def security cameras throughout the garage and built a storefront, customer-facing command center that looped live footage of each level of the garage on six giant monitors.

The Music Garage’s focus on increased security paired with the vibrant atmosphere has created a truly superior parking option for customers in downtown Denver.

As a high traffic location, the Music Garage needed to accurately track revenue and have a reliable hardware system in place.

The Result

FLASH’s ability to improve accountability for access and revenue control resulted in a 10% increase in captured revenue after installation.

In addition, over-the-air updates allow the assets to be configured and accessed remotely, whether that be resolving an issue with a pay station or opening an uncooperative gate. As a result, these garages are reliable, self-maintaining, and deliver a seamless (and safe) customer experience.

Location was a key consideration for the property’s needs: situated in a highly populated downtown metro, parkers needed the ability to enter and exit the garage efficiently, especially during events.

With only one lane in and one lane out, FLASH’s mobile-first and Bluetooth-enabled hardware provides an easy-to-use, contactless experience for the monthly parkers, while eParking reservation integrations enable those accessing the garage for events to easily and efficiently pre-pay on entry.

My goal as an operator is to curate and package parking and mobility services that best meet the needs of a specific location. FLASH’s future-ready platform allows me the agility to meet current customer demands, like eParking Reservations, and the flexibility to be prepared for the future with contactless access.
